I'm not in the habit of playing 69s on the button for 2 bets, but I was the 7th player in the pot. I'm getting 10.3:2 on my call, but I have no reason to expect a 3-bet from any of the first 3 limpers. Its an easy hand to get away from if the flop goes wrong, and if I flop anything at all, I'll have odds to continue.

On the flop, I'm getting 24:2 on a 4 outer, so this is an easy call.

Thoughts on pre-flop?

Which it will more than it will go right.

98s = yes
97s = meh... but probably still yes
96s = no.

I could see if you were in a blind and getting a discount. But, I dont want to pay 2 sbs to see a flop here.

not good

don't be results oriented, most of the time you completely whiff here, not worth the 2 bets.

I think I'm playing any suited connectors here (would you play 65s, 54s, 43s or 32s?), and one gappers down to 86s or so.

96s was a stretch, even for my 21 VPIP self.

No.

32s and 43s arent suited connectors in the best sense of the term.

A suited connector like 87s can make the following 2 card straights:

45678
56789
6789T
789TJ

But, 32s can make the following 2 card straights:

A2345
23456

(43s suffers the same problem, but makes 1 more straight).

So, even though they are connected, they dont have the typical straightosity of other connectors.

Also, they tend to make the ass end of the straight.

I think I would start at about 67s here, and perhaps 65s.
