i tried doing a /connect irc.stratics.com
it didn't work
i don't know what to do next

try irc.easynews.com

it's on EFnet, that is an EFnet server although there are more you can try. if you get on type /join #twoplustwo

Download from one of the mirrors, connect to the efnet(us,va...) server and type in /join #twoplustwo.
