Villians an unkown only been around a few laps. Seems solid. Hasn't impressed me or or did anything stupid yet.

Thoughts on all streets appreciated. When he came alive on the turn my first thought was AQ. On the river I considered A9 to be most likely.

Hell naw.

If he has AA I accept my beats and move on to the next hand.

I probably cap too but I'd be a bit worried about 99 at the end. This is exactly how an average player would play that hand.

I most certainly three-bet the flop though.

I think the turn check-raise is a bit risky. Villain often has a mid pocket pair that he either plan to raise on the turn (for protection) if he is good or plan to call down with (if he is bad). In either case the ace is a scary card for him and there is a risk it gets checked through.

MP2s flop raise is probably a probe or a free card play (there's not many queens left for him). If he is looking for an ace you can just as well bet out on the turn and hope he raises with AK or AQ. If he is on a flush draw he might just let it fall through and you have lost valuable big bets.

I think I would 3-bet the flop and lead the turn. When villain goes wild on the turn it looks like a slowplayed set. Cold calling an EP PF-raise with A9 is not what I call solid play and slowplaying AQ with a flushy flop is slightly weird too. He might just call if he is passive and fears AA or KK but in that case he should have the same fear when the ace shows up on the turn and you cap it (which pretty much rules out you haveing KK).

I think just calling when you get raised at the river is fine if you are not up against a bad player (then you should of course cap it).
