Bear with me, I'm really trying to get a handle on aggression when playing vs. maniacs.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.20 BB) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

I'm not so convinced anymore. :/ Argh.

I'd really consider raising the flop. He could be betting into you w/just a pair of nines. I don't know about the river raise. You have Aces Up, but any spade beats you and this guy really could be staying in with a spade

Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't you have to be good 2/3 of the time to make that raise on the river? If you're confident enough to raise that, I think you should have called with the AQ.

The problem is that maniac won't fold a hand that beats me.

btw, the turn raise is OK. I think you could have gotten more out of him if you raised the flop, call 3-bet, raise the turn. He is a maniac.

I liked the flop and turn play when I first read the hand, but now I'm thinking this line may be better.

Anyway, though, the part of the hand that seems most questionable to me is the river. I think you should have just called.

This hand really sucked and, upon reflection, I think I played it pretty poorly post-flop. Anyway, maniac turned over 79 and MWHG /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
