Because they get a kick out of it. I can just picture some guy (or a few ppl) watching a computer, and laughing to themselves about how much uproar they can create by posting such retarded things. Ignore them and they will go away. I don't think people can do this though, because whether they admit it or not, they are moderately entertained themselves by the troll threads.
