Hell no.

If you bet now, who the hell's gonna put you on J,4? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

No, I like betting here.

It doesn't matter ALL that much, either they have something to pay off/play back with or not. Whether you bet or check here will usually make little difference in that, but it will make a difference in whether you give them a chance to pay you off with their K high.

Agreed, but at what point do I let them catch up?

Terrible. You think you're ahead on this board with only second-best full house? I'm check/folding this one....

Honestly, how can you NOT bet this? No preflop aggression means you can't be sure anybody's going to bet this, and you really want more money in this pot.

If you were heads-up, I could see checking after a check to give the other player a ray of false hope and try and scam a bet out of him somewhere down the line, but as it stands, you've got no choice but to feed this pot and hope for callers.

Like Einbert said, at this point they're either interested or they're not. Giving them one more cheap card isn't going to make whole lot of difference.

HOWEVER, if you wait too long to show aggression, you lose out on valuable bets from flush draws, pocket pairs ... and most preferably: someone else holding a 4! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Betting is the new slowplay. Anyone with a draw or overcards will probably tag along anyway.

If you check the flop, what are your plans on the turn when it gets checked around? Not a good spot to be in.

I bet and hope someone has a draw or is looking to "keep me honest." A player who folds with nothing on the flop isn't going to call a turn bet when he still has nothing. Bet and let the suckers call you down with their overcards.

If by "awful" you mean "the exact opposite of awful" then I agree.
