I am trying to figure out my average profit per tournament (Sit-n-go).

Here are the numbers:

2 Heads Up Games ($5+ $.25)
16 9-Handed Games ($5+ $.50)

My total winnings = $144

I just need to see if my math is correct... Any help or comments would be appreciated. Here goes...

My buy-in entries: $5 x 18 = $90
My entry fees: ($.25 x 2) + ($.50 x 16) = $8.50

So to calculate my average per game profit I would:

Total winnings ($144) - Entry Cost + Fees ($98.50)

all divided by 18 (# of games I've played)

to give me $2.53 per game.

Is this correct? Also is this a good per game profit? I am playing $5 sit-n-gos and trying to build a bankroll.

You have a ROI of 46% which is good.

I don't think you should focus on that though (it is way too easy to get very neurotic about ROI, desperately checking it after each SnG). Just try to play solid pokar. The best way to measure how successful you are is the size of your bankroll. And since it has grown I would say you are doing fine.

Use a spreadsheet to track your SnG play:
