It wouldn't have done any good anyway unless someone hit runner runner quads, right?

True. Still doesn't like something to get worked up about, though.

So not only does somebody have to get quad 8s, they have to lose it to somebody with a better hand? Good lord.

And I would think the 8's kicker would have to play. You wonder why it gets so high?

Did the fish ever go away?

Do you want my stats from the last two days of 2/4?

424 Hands
245.70 won
14.49 BB per 100

But yes I play no limit and made plenty of mistakes. Just shows how fishy it is.

impressive run of 400 hands, come back when you get at least 9600 more

mother_brain

that would be hard in two days

Hard....but certainly not impossible.

Nice 400 hand run btw.

FWIW - the jackpot tables really don't start to get especially fishy until it gets past $200k imo.

That's why they call it the bad beat jackpot /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Bison did it in 24 hours.

I call BS. No way somebody could do 10k hands in 24 hours, particularly since Bison didnt play shorthanded tables.

"At roughly 4:56pm Pacific on 1/10/05, I played my 12 thousandth hand in less than a day. In fact, it took slightly less than 23 hours, 8-tabling"

Ummmm....obviously you missed it.

Bison set a goal to play 12k hands (I think) in 24 hours.
He played 12 tables of .5/1 for this stretch.

He set up one of his tables as a 2+2 table. I was proud to be around for 4 hours or so of the hilarity of a bunch of 2+2'ers capping every pot multi-way PF.

I also ran insanely well and caught a zillion river-miracles and won 180BB in about 300 hands there.

Do a search for an insanely long thread about this...sometime in mid-january if I remember correctly.

Personally, when I did my raked-hand marathon to get the cruise package I was playing about 6k hands a day...and that was on only 4 tables (albeit of 6-max).

4 tables of 6-max will be close to 400 hands an hour now. Maybe only 375 or so....but still....if you put in the hours it adds up pretty fast obviously.

Brian regularly plays over 30k hands a week I believe. Not sure what limit or how many tables or how many hours.

MicroBob

okay....so he was ONLY 8-tabling.
My bad.

Sure it is, I did it 8-tabling also. Took about 20.5 hrs (in a 23 hour period.. had to have SOME breaks!)

However, you can only 4-table the BBJ tables, and they are full ring.

Also, the person with the 8 would have to have a high kicker, so that it plays. Here's a question, would this hand qualify for a BBJP?

Tc Th Ts Js As

Hand 1: Td Ad
Hand 2: Qs Ks

How do you decide which Ace plays with the quads?

Err, bump. Good question. I'm curious to see the answer to this.

I had a straightflush beat on party the other day, and wasn't on a BBJ table.

both players used holecards too, so it would've counted /images/graemlins/frown.gif
