Any comments on how to play this type of hand are appreciated:

What do you think of the preflop raise? How bad is a fold preflop? Call, push, or fold after SB min-reraises?

I dont like a push here, I would raise to 150.

Why did you leave out the flop play?

After you min raise and a reminraised calling and pushing are your only options, call, take a flop and go from there, you have position and quite possible the best hand.

You should make a standard raise here PF, whatever you normally raise utg (I use 175).

"What do you think of the preflop raise?"

I hate it, but I hate minraises. I'd just limp here, but that's because of my position and the fact that the pot is small.

I don't think SB is necessarily holding a strong hand. He has plenty of chips, which I assume he got by gambling, and is willing to throw some around. His min reraise could just be trying to scare you since he might put you on a cheap steal attempt since you're UTG. However, I haven't experienced it enough to know what this move generally means (the couple of times I have was vs some morons with junk).

I would start off by not putting myself in this situation and make a 3-4x raise.

If I do get min reraised I would call.

I hate min raising to 100 and I especially hate limping here. I know that some posters recommend limping with pairs like TT,99, but once the blinds are 25-50 and you are a shortstack, I think it's a pretty weak way to play the hand. I would raise to 150-175.

"I think it's a pretty weak"

I'm weak in early levels. Has to do with the large bubble advantage in low buyins so wanting to be able to get away from early pots. My early game will change alot when I move to the $55s.

Interesting you say that about other people minraises and minbets, because I generally use them when I have a strong hand with a dangerous board in an attempt to appear weak. Not a full slowplay, but more like a check raise... Thoughts?

I tend to do that myself. A little bitty bet into a big pot or a min raise when I have the best hand or at least a very strong hand. I believe it is another way to fake weakness..

Seems to provoke a raise from some players.

I would like to hear opinions on this also.
