View Full Version : Raisin KTo and QJo from MP at 5/10?
This question specifically relates to KTo and QJo: opening with them from MP in 6 handed 5/10 games. I realize this isn't anything new, but I wanted to revisit it. QJo, I don't remember how I started with it, but for a while I folded it but for the most part I have opened with it. I started out raising KTo from MP as SOP. Then pretty quickly I cut that out and always folded.
Limping either hand from MP is not an option here, btw at least in this poll.
Responses are desired as well.

I raise these hands in MP depending on my table image a lot. If I've been aggro and loose, I'll fold them. Tight, I will raise. But more often than not I'm raising.
These hands are both marginal in MP, I like QJ alot more than KT. I use both options with both of the hands, but fold KT alot more than QJ, which I usually play.

over about 90k hands in 5/10 i found raising KTo to be a waste of time in general. I really wouldn't do it.
Not sure why Trix likes QJo, but it defintely does better. I am more comfortable w/QJ because flopping either a Q or a J is usually sufficient and the str8 possibilites are numerous. KT, bleh.

People pay off Q's and J's more than K's.
