I can think of a few worse -- I believe it was the 96 ALCS, might have been DS, but i don't think so

Derek Jeter hits a ball that is fieldable, some NY bitch reaches over the fence and catches it, the ruling is for a round-tripper -- he gets to go on talk shows, the Yankees end up going to the WS.

You're the reason everyone hates Yankee fans. You're delusional. You think you're better than you are, you think you're smarter than you are, and most annoyingly, you think you're more important than you are.

I only care about about the Yanks so much as they're an interesting team to watch. You and your team is not that important to me.

I just find it pretty funny that you're calling a guy with an OPS over 1.000, after any amount of at-bats, washed up.

I don't necessarily disagree that the fan should have been arrested. If he intended to hit Sheffield, I think Sheff could beat the guy down and I'd give him a bonus.

I'm basing this on the fact that I think it wasn't intentional. But then again, I can't really say. We don't know what was said.

I definitely believe Sheffield took a swing at him and that it was unintentional. Looking at the replay again, it's pretty clear to me Sheffield went for him but the guy had stepped away and blocked. I think this is ugly for everyone involved.

It doesn't matter if it was intentional. if he hadn't stuck his hand down there, he wouldn't have hit Sheffield "accidentally", and Sheffield wouldn't have reacted the way he did. HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF YOU THOUGHT SOMEONE JUST TOOK A PUNCH AT YOU?

Sheffield deserves no blame.

That doesn't give the player the right to take a swing at him. I don't care how much of a douche the fan was.

On the second viewing, the fan didn't go for the ball. Gary still should not have hit him, but it should've been ruled a ground rule double, I think.

If they said arrested, I missed it. I was wrong then.

I think once they look at the tape, they'll see he was just being a jackass. Again, doesn't mean the guy isn't an a-hole, he was clearly taunting Sheffield after it happened. Probably had a vision of a big settlement, like those jackasses at the Oakland game last year.

Incorrect. Morgan is WAY worse than Berman. At least Berman doesn't pretend to know what he is talking about. Morgan acts like he knows a lot about baseball, but he doesn't. Berman just calls the game, although he does it badly.

It all comes back to the ump's stupid call, and the fan interference. If that fan doesn't interfere, one less Sox run scores. It would be tied up right now at 7.

I'm constantly amazed how the fans reach over to try to get a ball in play. It happens in every ballpark. One of these days they're going to cost their team a game when a guy on first is only going to get two bases when he possibly could have scored.

Sheffield was a bit of a jerk to swipe at the fan; he was a bigger jerk to do it while he still had the baseball with Sox circling the bases.

Kudos to the security guard for getting in the middle.

MLB should institute a policy like they have in the NBA: anybody leaves the dugout or the bullpen and they're ejected and fined.
