I especially like your self-raise on the flop to face button with 2 cold.

Hero bets, UTG calls, CO calls, Hero raises

I find it really helps my table image when the action goes:

Hero bets, 2 calls, Hero folds

This is an interesting idea though that might have some potential. Maybe with pocket aces or something.

In what way?

I have said nothing about the hand.

In the way the you know this is retarded, but I see a Memento-like twist at the end where you reveal that you were playing this hand while using mind powers or something, thus proving yourself correct, or something.

And I don't expect that from you, so I am boggled.

Ha!

No, I'm afraid that I'm not taking that route.
Although it would be fun to defend my play in that fashion.

Okay, step by step:

Preflop: Good, although sometimes I just smoothcall to disguise my hand.

Flop: Good, but why not slip a fifth bet in?

Turn: Slowplaying's a mistake here. While you clearly have the best hand, it is somewhat vulnerable. You really need to 3-bet.

River: See flop advice.

It's really a shame there's not unlimited raises once it gets heads-up. This is one of those rare setup hands where you could have gotten his whole stack.

Eerily similar to this one I played last night:

Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (17 SB) A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A /images/graemlins/spade.gif, A /images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (14.50 BB) A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

River: (20.50 BB) J http://www.gwally.com/tests/images/purplehorseshoe.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, Hero bets, Hero calls, Hero raises, Hero 3-bets, Hero calls, Hero caps, Hero calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: One hundred zillion BB
Main Pot: One hundred zillion BB, between Hero, Hero, and Hero. > Pot won by Hero (Eleventy bazillion BB).

Results in white below:
Hero has Qd 8d (high card, king).
Hero has 6d 3d (one pair, threes).

I can let this go preflop facing a raise and a reraise. What were you trying to prove?

Did you know the UTG playa...if so were you two having a donkfest?

Ok, real question, I also presume since the game level wasn't posted, and in general that when a good player goes about "donkeying it up" they move down a level, and they are just having some extra fun!

I too wonder what the CO had? Poor CO !!!

Play money? How about nano limits?

Edit: Well maybe not nano limits since you used the converter, so it should be a party skin.

This is basically the only hand history I have ever posted on 2+2 (the other HH post was to claim a bounty).

I'm weird about disclosing the limits and sites I play on.

But -

This was not a nano limit game, and it was played on Absolute.

you had a read. You knew you were ahead of button, who was a total coke-head donk, and you thought a 3bet on the river would get co to fold, as his bet looks an awful lot like a control-bet. Its almost straight out of TOP, except nobody else gets to read the upset beverage version.

for the record, i would be more happy with this hand if there was a diamond on the flop
