i left out a frozen piece of chicken yesterday at noon to defrost but i forgot all about it until around midnight. i then put it back in the fridge. is it good to george foreman it now or did i leave it out for too long. will i get dieseased if i eat it? my life depends on this. thanks.

its fine. eat it. i often marinate chicken in the fridge for 12-24 hrs.

I think the obvious answer is to BBQ it.

I believe in this situation the correct approach is to hold your nose and keep on lickin.

Dude you have OCD don't you? You must wash the chicken thoroughly then wrap it in a plastic bag and drive it to the nearest bio-chemical dump. Then nervously shake in the corner while holding a mop, one dustpan and something that resembles a childs toy all the while screaming for your mother.

Best,
Matt

I was in the same place a cpl weeks ago...I would smell it, mine smelled funny so it was easy to tell it was bad. If it smells fine, then its fine. If you don't know what chicken is supposed to smell like then you shouldn't be eating it
