Here's a fun one. 15/30. There's a poster with a dead blind in the CO. UTG raises; UTG+1, MP, HiJack, CO and SB all call. I call in the BB with 7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif. The HJ is a tight aggressive player and the SB is normal preflop but very aggressive postflop. I don't have reads on the other players.

Flop Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif 6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB bets, I raise, UTG, UTG+1, MP and CO all cold call. SB 3-bets, I call, everyone else calls.

Turn 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB bets, I raise, everybody cold calls again, SB raises again and I cap.

Good?

I don't see the point of the turn cap. After the SB 3bets I just call down, seems like you are behind just too much here given the action even though the SB is "very aggressive postflop". I know it is unlikely that the SB has 77 or 66, but a set really seems probable here.

However, I'm sure my definition of very aggressive is much different from yours as 15/30 >> 2/4.

We have a lot of coldcallers subsidizing our cap here. We don't have to be correct in the cap as often as if it were HU or a 3-way. Since we have so many people putting in such thin money, it makes the cap less of a concern.

The call preflop is super easy IMO getting like 6,246:1.

I was going to question not capping the flop until I realized you were going to try and protect on the turn. I would worry less about the SB having the case 6's or 7's and more about shutting out the cold callers so I like your turn cap. Looks perfect to me so far.

i think the turn cap is necessary to make an attempt to protect your hand. a lot of the time i get content with my 2 pair, think "this guys telling me he can beat bottom two" and forget to take measures to protect my hand which very well might be good

River was a blank, SB checked it to me, I bet ... my hand was good and he called down with A6o. Dude was on some mad kind of tilt, though I didn't realize it until later.

Actually, upon waking up this morning and seeing the hand afresh (that's a lie ... haven't really been to bed yet) I think all the actions are pretty straightforward. With so much overlay from all the cold callers, I don't even have to have the best hand the majority of the time to make the turn cap correct.
