View Full Version : folded to river bet %/snapping off bluffs on the river

my folded to river bet is a bit higher than the norm (mine is 45%). can you guys post examples of where you called a river bet with A-high or weak pair, suspecting the bettor just taking a shot at the pot? i know you need a decent read usually too. but i just want a better general sense.



maybe another reason is, i'm checking too many turns? either because i actually wanted a free card, or got scared of the board... like:

opponent here is pretty loose and seems to like to chkraise and go to showdown a lot. didn't really want to get chkraised here even though i probably had a lot of outs.

Bet the turn in the first three. You're playing right into a typical 5/10 6-max player's hands by betting the flop and then giving up on the turn.

Please don't post multiple hands in one post. It's okay to post 2 hands if they have the same theme, but in general you should try to limit yourself to 1 hand/post. It makes discussion less confusing.
