When I read this story, it almost made me sick.

Am I a total n00b if I don't quite understand why this is so signifigant?

I'm guessing he was supposed to have to forfeit his shares or somthing but then he gifted them to his wife 3 days before and now they cant touch them....or what exactly happened here?

I would like to think im pretty stock market savvy but I don't get this...

Its 2.2 billion dollars. Does the word gift really even mean that?

But why did he have to give it to his wife, why didnt he just keep it himself?

the oracle guy (larry ellison? erickson?) gave his wife a huge amount of stock when they got married. meh.

i think that op was just talking about the fact that it's an absurd amount of money.

Hopefully she'll decide to run wild on the paty 2-4 tables for a while, maybe 300 grand of 100/90/6

If I see her at my local bar tonight I'll suggest it to her.

Hank did a hell of a job at that company and deserves every penny he's made. That is all.
