I was wondering if I made the right move here? Otto had been limping every time he was small but never raised. Should I have just checked and seen a flop?

Had you been defending much? If not, I like this play with any A or K. If so, I don't, since as soon as you do it a few times, SB will complete with a monster trying to trap you.

I don't mind it at all.

IMHO, Otto is something of an idiot calling. What does he put you on? K2?

I just keep thinking "Never go broke in an unraised pot"

I would, personally, fold such a dominated hand and wait for something better. That said, if you really feel like you want to play the hand, I would at least limp and see the flop. You're an underdog to so much right now.

Just my $.02

He didnt raise and I was the big blind so folding didnt really cross my mind, but as far as defending my blind I had not really been doing that. He limped in every time he was small and never once raised or folded and for the majority of the tournament I would just check behind to see a flop.

Sorry, it was hard for me to figure out position based on the OP. I would have seen the flop for free, then, if that was an option. The hand is just too dominated.

i fold this without completing when that short

the real issue here is that the limper has put in 20% of his stack and is likely going nowhere....--you put him to the test, but he passed....

i still fold preflop.

seems pretty standard to me.
