sure...I call As "Ace of Spades" and Ad "Ace of Diamonds." Does anyone else use this terminology? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Sure, I have some pet names for cards that pop up at inopportune times and bust my hand, but they're unprintable in a civilized forum.

no actually i mean mnemonic devices for remembering every card like in stud or just to remember hands that were interesting

has a chapter were he wrote about visiting the card company in ohio. Each facecard represents someone from history or medeival literature. Jack of diamonds is Lancelot. Other than that I can't remember any more. It was pretty interesting reading, told all about how the deck we play with today came to be.

US playing card website. Kh was Charlamagne. Kd was Julius Ceaser, Ks David from the bible, and Kc Alexander the Great. These names were given by the French.
