So, I'm looking to get a good MP3 player because my last POS crapped out on me.

I've more or less decided on an iPod, but I'd be interested in hearing any suggestions for a different one

My iPod mini (6gb) arrived today and it rocks.

I would highly recommend it.

Go with the ipod. The size difference isn't enough that it will make up for the 14 or 16 gig difference. I had a 4 gig mini and sold it so that I could get a 20 gig, and love it so much more.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm looking for some sort of lens cleaner or scratch remover for my Ipod. The screen is scratched in a few places and I'd like to reduce the eyesore. Any suggestions for a product from anyone?

i got the iriver h10 with the napster service and i havent used my ipod since. the h10 kinda sucks as a player, so id go with the creative zen mini if i had to choose again. if ipod would open itself up to napster id use my ipod again. so being limited to itunes(for legal music) might be another consideration.

iPod mini is too small imo. Anything less than 20gb is a joke, but it depends on how big YOUR collection is.

Of the two choices I picked Ipod. However, if you are on a budget the Apple players really are overpriced. About a month ago I bought an MP3 player myself. I looked at the Ipods, as well as the players by Dell, HP, Creative, Rivo, and even the Iaudio M3 thing Patrick jizzes about all the time. Ultimately I picked the Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra from Creative. Why? 'Cause I got a 60GB player for $260 bucks. The 60GB Ipod is $499, and to me that extra money more than makes up for the Nomad being a bit bigger.

Cheers,

Swede
