Here is another source for ranking Hold'em hands.

Michael Shackleford (aka "Wizard of Odds") provides on his site mathematically reliable (in general) information on various gambling games. The links below show his results for various Hold’em games.

Note that these simulations (extensive as they are) are based on the obviously erroneous assumption that all players will stay with their hands passively until the showdown. Consequently, the calculations of EVs and the probabilities of win are likely wrong. However the RANK of the hands appears correct. It is interesting to see how the rank of the hands changes with the number of players.

I actually produced these numbers myself via writing a computer simulation when I was initially obsessed with poker. I could even tell you the percentage after any flop / turn / or river. An ok place to start, nothing more.

There is no such thing as a "correct rank."

A rank is a one-dimensional characterization of the hands. Game situations are not one-dimensional. They have many parameters, and different hands have different characteristics and should be played differently in different circumstances.

The whole concept of a rank-order is kind of useless. Rank for what?

10 handed: A pair of 9's average win is more than a pair of 10's....interesting. In any case, it's based on all players staying in till the end. Not exactly awash in realism, is it?
