I have had some horrendous problems with my computer lately. First of all, my friend came over to use my computer and the jinx crashed it. This is the second computer that he has destroyed of mine. Anyway, I got it to restart, but only in safe mode. When I log onto Party, I cannot adjust the window size, so there is over lapping like no other. I probably misclicked about 30 times over the weekend. Luckly none of them hurt me too bad. I am in the process of looking for a new computer/saving up for one. What would you recommend in the $1000-1300 range? Also, would any of you continue to play PP in safe mode?
P.S. I had to quit 4 tabling because of the consistant misclicking, so back to the good old 2 tabling.

It sounds like it is +EV to keep your friend far away from your next PC.

??? Fix your computer man. It's not hard. If you have no clue how to fix it, this is what you do.

1. Copy everything you want to save onto a CD ROM or equivilent (PT, HH's, resume, saved games, porn etc...)
2. Format your harddrive.
3. Reinstall windows and all software.
4. Copy your saved files back onto your computer.

This process will take 6-8 hours, but you won't have to get a new PC. Windows XP is very easy to use. Try doing this with DOS back in the 80's and it's a headache. Today on the other hand, you have no excuses.

I am constantly installing and deleting all kinds of crap on my computer. It eventually gets bogged down and starts running slow. Note: uninstall software does not uninstall everything. These files build up and sometime conflict with each other. So every year or so, I do a complete whipe and start over.

Addicted to Poker much?

I'm fairly serious actually. Your computer isn't functioning normally yet you spend a frustrating amount of time playing with it 'broken' thats forces you to drop back to 2 tabling rather than fix the problem.

Your solution? Just get a new computer...not good. Why not try to learn something new?

When it comes to computers, I am legally retarded. The one that I am using is from about 1990 and is a piece of crap. I was going to buy a new one anyway, so do you have any suggestions for a new one?

Well, since you admit it...heh

Just get something thats about a grand from Best Buy like an HP or eMachine. Component wise makes no difference to you, all you really 'care' about in this case is probably a CD-Burner/DVD Player and a good video card and practically everything comes with a decent GeForce or Radeon and that'll support your 1600x1200 resolution for 4+ tabling.
