There needs to be a trustworthy third party who can ensure that passwords are correct before the change. If that could be done I'd consider it.

haha, I'd be a party to that. Imagine jakethebake showing up in the SNG forum and arguing about whether to push or fold.

GrannyMae, Microbob, and bisonbison are the only few I can think of who might possibly not mind being bothered.

Any one of the several people who have access to his computer will do.

I don't see why we need a third party, it's not like this is my bank account.

there's no way i'm letting dead post as me.

I think Dead & BGC should post as each other. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ummm.....yea. Really needs to be someone that doesn't give multiple users access to the information. But do we really need this anyway? I mean if we each change the password before the switch. Then only give the one person the temporary password. No one changes the passwords on their temporary IDs. At the end of the week, we change back to our permanent password. There's a built-in mechanism to prevent everyone from getting too crazy. We all just post like we normally would but under assumed names.

If people have any top secret plans in their PM files they would want to erase those as well.

Okay, who switched? Inchoatehand and jakethebake?

This is a great idea! Have you two switched yet?

You two are treating this account-switch thing remarkably like a gay marriage.

Dead

No. I don't trust BGC enough to be sure that I will get my account back afterwards.

Too bad. You have to know it would be hilarious. Think of the chaos it would cause in the Politics forum.

I don't doubt that hilarity would ensue.

BGC seems like a very willing party. I think this should happen and it would be fun. Hell, Dead, it's only a 2+2 account and if he did do something screwy we would all know it was him and vice versa.

i dont think this would be a problem, you just make a request for your password and it is sent to your email and reset

you then have the option to set it a gain when you log back in

cheers

Can't the person using your account change the email address to one of his own?

Dead

Yes they can.

Come on, would any of you trust BGC in this situation?

Lmao.

Isn't anyone concerned that if they gave jakethebake the keys to their account that he'd stick it somewhere smelly and it would never be the same again?

jakethebake

I've made a rather formal rule to abstain from advice from people whom refer to themselves as "ho."
