I thought there was a chance I was up against two underpairs on the turn. So I bet the river and prayed. I was in bet-fold mode on the turn. Sound good?

It seems to me like you are beat most of the time if the opponents aren't whacky in some way. I would check-call the river but that feels odd, is it wrong? Or maybe bet-fold.

Tom sez: I play it the same way. What else can you do? I too, would probably fold to a turn raise.

its tough, but it looks like the best way to play it...you could check, and fold if there is an overcall, or it gets raised. i dont really like that, so id throw some chips out there and hope it doesnt get raised up.

Thanks for the replies. Button had AT and MP had 99. I think my line is okay though.

If MP is normal, the only hands that might call here&lose are TT and JJ. So if you get called, you're preety sure to lose this, if he folds you risk 1 BB for nothing.
I see 3 'solutions'
-check/fold - this is too weak
-check/call (maybe you induce a bluff, and there are no free cards here to fear of)
-check/raise the turn and fold to a 3-bet.

Check raising the turn seems really bad. Is JJ or TT going to take a shot here? I think some Aces won't 3-bet, they will just call down. I thinking leading the turn and folding to a raise is pretty standard.

Check/raising the turn sounds awful to me, as you'll just throw many weaker aces (such as AT) into calldown mode.
