Maybe I should raise the flop and bet all the way instead ?

I'm assuming no reads?

I really like raising the flop and betting all the way. Besides the obvious fold equity argument you have an equity edge against a lot of hands that he would bet here. In fact if he three-bets me I'm probably capping with the intention of taking a free river card.

Is this a standard raise at BTN-3 or were the blinds tightish?

Itīs 5-handed, so Iīm in the CO. I dont do anything standard anymore, which force me to consider all options and I like how itīs going.

Ah, misread it. Yeah, I raise this from the CO most of the time, but against very loose blinds I like folding.

i really dont like it. terrible risk/reward ratio for river bluff. i had a guy bet/call the river against me with K-high the other day with an A on board when I raised preflop.

plus the Q isnt a particularly scary card.

i'd raise the flop in this hand.

yuck, no way does this work 1 time in 3

raise the flop, you can get your free card, and your hand is disguised if you hit it on the turn.

Really strange way to play the hand. Did you have a read that he would release for 1 bet on the river? I think I raise the flop, bet the turn. The board is paired and there are a lot of draws.
