Paradise 50k R&A

Blinds are 2000-4000 ante 100. 75 players left with 70 and better in the money. Surviving to 70 basically gets you $108.00.

Hero is in SB with 12k in chips after posting. Has been more or less card dead since the beginning. Stayed alive by stealing and/or winning small pots.

UTG+3 with 24,000 chips open raises to 9,500. Folded around to Hero who sees black Queens on his screen. Only read on raiser is he raised the minimum once and showed down KK.

Has been pretty tight.

What do you do?

Really a no brainer, if I read your post right, you have about 3 bets left after posting, what are you waiting for?

True, but you have 5 people left to be eliminated until the money and a whole round before the blinds come back to you.

So you wanna win 100 dollars or 20,000

I wanted to win bigger money than 108.00 so I pushed. I was up against AK and a K flopped. No help on the turn or river and I go out in 75th.

Just wondering if anyone would have waited here and pushed after the 71st guy got eliminated.

The goal is 1st, not getting in the money, right?

I'd play this the same whether there was 75 left, 500 left, or 6 left.

A really easy push. As a matter of fact, I think any pair 7s and up should push this.

So he minraised with KK, but in this case raised more like 2.5 BBs. This is some slight evidence that you can rule out AA and KK here. Even without that, I'm probably going to push QQ here, but with the added discrepancy there I'm definitely going for it.

go for first, not 69th. Win this hand then gamble to double up again ITM.

Yeah. I guess I was getting results oriented after I busted. I just cashed out a bunch of money to help pay my taxes and getting my buy-in (90.00) back wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world I guess as well. I really was about as card dead as I have ever been.

Of course I win the coinflip and I am almost back in the game. I knew it was the right move but got to second guessing.

I hate missing the money by so little...

That was my exact thinking and honestly don't regret the decision. I just wish the situation had come up after the last 5 had busted lol.

You should be very happy to be dealt this hand at this point. No-brainer push.

...then proceeds to push and hopes for a call not only by the pfr but by the BB so he can triple up. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
