Your preflop raise is fine as far as I am concerned. If you call BB's push you are getting 2.14 to 1 pot odds.

You say he is TAG. What would he push with? He is not in chip trouble, so he could fold and still be in good shape. I doubt if he pushes with 22-77, AQ or AJ.

I would say he has AK, or AA to JJ.

It is is AK you are in a coin flip. If it is AA to JJ, you are in big trouble.

If you lay it down, you have t1450 left. This will put you in a bit of a spot with the blinds at 100/200, so there is no easy answer for this one. It comes down to your read on this guy.

IMHO, if your read is correct, and you think he is TAG, then lay it down.

He seemed TAG, but he could be putting me on a steal (I have been pushing/raising a lot of pots) and he may be restealing. At the same time there is a good likelyhood that he has a higher pocket pair.

So this has to be a call? Considering that he might have AK/AQ/AJ (most likely), an overpair (also very likely), or maybe even stealing (less likely).

He has to push IMO. You have 10x the BB and 1 player to act, dont complicate urself make ur oponent do the math. If hes TAG hes smart enough to avoid conflict with big stacks.

Yeah. I usually I push this, but at the time I think I felt that raising ~500 chips was enough to win his blind, because he seemed pretty TAG. Against a regular PP fool I would have just pushed.

Do you plan to call his all-in? If so, you need to push pre-flop. If you plan to drop it on a re-raise, then the 3BB raise is fine.

Personally, I'm pushing 88 here, since I'd call with it as well.

Edit: sorry, forgot to add: IMHO.
