Reads: Against the big stack at the table who is not afraid to put alot of money in the pot, over 30 hands had a VPIP of 80%, so I knew he was not going away, at least with my pre-flop raise.

Why? I mean clearly your read that "he is not going away" is wrong. You're just losing value from weaker queens or a straight draw (which might even win you a huge pot if it hits the flush as well).

so what would you bet?

Edit: Pushed bc I didn't think he would go away, at least if he had any piece, ie top pair, or any draw...didn't want him to see the river and fold if it does not get there

Raise more on the flop. As it stands, he has to call 3.75 into a pot of 11, giving him huge odds to draw to anything. Make it 7 to go, and then your push on the turn isn't even an overbet.

I would bet, yes. Bet a bit over half the pot. This leaves him bad odds to draw to the straight or flush, but not horrible odds. It also lets him stay in with a weaker Q.

I think you have to bet more on the flop. The idiot your playing against is getting aprox. 2.75:1 against your meager 3.75 raise to call on the flop with the implied odds being your whole stack($20). If he's got a pair and he spikes 2 on the turn your going to be faced with the all-in call. Furthermore, if a-hole is playing J10, J9 or god forbid Q10, cause A-holes never play that right, your just asking to get handed on the turn if he hits two pair or gut shots all over you.

IMO you should get his odds below 2:1 by raising to at least 9 dollars on the flop. That makes his straight draw a dog and his two-pair draw a huge dog. Also, if he was trying to slowplay a set you will find out right then.

The turn bet seems a little bit crazy because your idiot could be playing anything and a 10 hits alot of crazy moron hands including gut-shots and two pair combos. IMO you should fire when you know you are ahead.
