I'm curious as to what numbers would be optimal for folded SB to steal when the SB is 1/3 of the BB. I'm hovering at 90-95%, seems ok?

So you are only playing the top 10% of hands in SB, thats not defending.

80-85% is what you should be aiming for.

Agreed. I mentally remnided myself that I need to fold some marginal plays in thew $1/$3 structure and found that it did not make a huge difference in terms of actual %. I think I went from around 75-80% to 80-85% as helpmeout says. But of course in reality this means about a 20-25% difference - playing 15-20% worth out of 20-25%. Be more aware of your set odds and release some of the tough-to-play-out-of-position hands like T9o or 76s etc.

Eh, you normally defend your SB with T9o and 76s ?

Depending on the number of players, yes. I defend the BB with these hands too, depending on the number of players and to some extent who. At $1/$2 and $2/$4. You don't defend these from the BB? If you defend from the BB, then you can complete from the SB, positionally there is little difference but I guess you need a handle on BB. What are you dropping in a 1/3 structure that you play in 1/2 structure if it is not marginal hands like these?
