I just switched over from NL cash. I started playing SNGs of the same value ($100) and the week has been one giant swing back and forth (up $1200 to even now). What kinduv bankroll do I need for SNGs? What is typical variance? What about winrate, is it higher because of the speed at which tournies go. Could I simulate my $100NL cash playing $50 tournies?

$100 SnG >>>>>> $100 NL cash games on party.

Edit - I'd say $100 NL = $33's - $50's. If I were you I'd start lower than that though until you get a good grasp of theory and concepts involved in winning SnG play.

I've played SNGs before. I'm pretty well acquinted with the strategy. Even during the downswing part of the week I didn't feel so bad because I was ahead each time I busted out. Not really worried about my play so much as I took money out of my poker account earlier this week and now I'm having to put back in. Wondering how much should stay.

What kinduv bankroll would you suggest for 50s or 100s. Variance, winrate (ROI as you guys put it).

100 buyins to be really safe. 50 should be fine.

Tnx, what should I expect to be my typical "daily" swing.
Daily being 4-tables for say a few hours in a day.
