Started playing Party SNGs recently and found the SNG FAQ very useful (thanks!) and used the basic strategy of AleoMagus as a good way to get started. I noticed that after 100 SNGs (I know, not statistically significant for winrate, etc) that my results are strongly bimodal
40% in places 1-3
10% in places 4-5
40% in places 6-8
10% in places 9-10
For those of you who have a more substantial collection of games, is this typical? It looks to me that the 6-8 places finishes come when I don't manage to catch anything in the first three or four rounds, and is a likely side effect of almost only playing pairs and AK early on. Agree?
