It is always tough putting people on rolled up hands.

About the only thing I might have done differently is check to him on 5th, but I guess there is a small chance he was pushing a big diamond draw.

Once he raises you on 5th, though, it is pretty much 100% that he has trips.

On rare occasions, I've laid hands down in this situation and saved 3 BBS, but it is something I have difficulty doing. Since you have only 3 outs to catch him, it is probably the best decision to fold to the raise on 5th.

Third street is good. I would tend to cap on fourth. When he raises fifth, it's starting to look like he's rolled. About the only other thing that makes sense is pocket Aces. There are three ways he can be rolled, and only one way he can have pocket Aces, so I think you probably did well to slow down when you did.

I think it started to smell like rolled Jacks on third really, but I like how you played it. On fourth I think it's pretty tough to put him on anything but rolled up Jacks or Aces. I think I would have check called from fifth on.

Yes, you just ran into a big hand.

Is there anyway I should get away from this hand? I felt he probably was rolled up on fourth and probably should have check called on fifth, but is this a hand I should have laid down or should I check call the rest of the way?

There is no point at which you can fold. Sometimes you just have to lose a hand.

Fear of pocket rockets is possible, due to the fact that 3 A's were out on 4th. Probally wouldn't be a bad idea to error on the side of agression and cap it out on 4th and 5th.

Doh! Silly me. By fifth, you know he can't have pocket Aces, which I think is all the more reason to slow down.

Ummm, any relation to SevenStuda?

Did he FOLD many 3rd Str. hands? Did he play many 3rd Str. hands/ Was he neither too tight nor too loose?
How do U think your Oppo. PROFILED u? Loose, tight, not too loose, not too night. Did u rarely come in on 3rd? Were U throwing many hands away? Playing a large # of hands?
The answer to these questions would determine whether u should slow down or not. Even if he is rolled up on 4th,your big live 2 Prs. should be played out.
Like Beer said: U ran into a brick wall... However,u did play it well...I would NOT have played it any differently.
