Well, my bankroll is curious about the next step. I don't see much information about the $55s or hear much talk. Is there any room for discussion. Adjustments that occur from the $33s to $55s?

Poker is easy... If you are a winning player and have 3000+ you wont go broke at the 50s imo

Hmm $3000 sounds a bit excessive..54 buyins..

Although I know the 30 buyin rule is bogus now, because I just dropped 35 buyins..
That's after 450 SNGs with 34% ROI..
yes..
a 35 buyin losing streak.
(this is at the 50s btw)
So don't go in with just 30 buyins! At any level! Unless your ROI is just ridiculously high.

54 is NOT excessive. i had a 50 buyin swing at the 55s a couple months ago. it sucks. 3k+ is a must for a serious 55 multitabler. holla

Its a different game. First more chips to begin, because of this from my experience its been a tighter game. Which is good since you can actually make some moves and have people play correctly and fold. Tell you the truth, i dont think it is worth it. Its a longer tourney with touigher comp where blinds play a much bigger factor. If you wanna improve your game do it , but i think the 20+2 and 30+3 are the most profitable tourenys since there is such piss poor play. You can almost just wait until you get a hand and win them.

For the move up you don't need that much. If you are a winning player and have 30 buyins, chances are you'll make much more than that before experiencing a drop of 30+.

You don't need much at all if you're willing to drop back down when necessary.

I worked my bankroll up quite a bit by just going in more expensive games and winning. If you're a really good player, you should just go for it!

[/ QUOTE ] You need to inform people of your specific situation, the overwhelming majority of us aren't 16 year old chilean's and therefore could likely easily reload on a bankroll that size. I would be very comfortable with that bankroll and buy in but my situation is different, I would say go to the $6 for now but becuase of the rake and similar play I don't think sticking around is that bad.

I've become a little more paranoid since I started living off my roll -- and I only play 11|22 right now. If the rent doesn't care if you blow it all, then by all means play higher levels if that keeps it fun.

The above statement is one you should post on the wall, OP. If you trust your discipline then you can really do whatever you want.

My rent hates it when I play the 33s, since one swing below 30 22s forces me to make it all up at the 11s. I'm done with that lesson and by forcing myself to live by my cutoff rules I hope I never have to learn it again.

1 tabling the 11s you actually should be able to make that last for quite a while. more would be nice for sure, but since yer only 1 tabling, you should be ok if yer a winning player. holla

You're probably more vulnerable than you think.

There was a time when I thought that dropping to the 5s with less than $110 was unreasonable but it only had to happen once for me to become a believer. Just make sure you're not using your last $44 on a 4-table session.

Lorinda had a post somewhere that mentioned how hard it is to correctly push 39o when you're on your last penny. I think that says it all.
