i like it. checkraising the river allows 3 bets to get in on the river (if he reraises) without opening yourself up for a cap. i would expect to you win a decent amount of the times he 3-bets here.

if you just bet out and he raises you really want to reraise but you live in fear of the cap.

not sure if any of this is valid reasoning but its how i play.

It depends on villian's aggression, a passive player will show you 54 nearly every time here.

There arent that many people who are going to cap the turn with A9. I'd expect A9 to raise the flop here also so I dont really like the river checkraise without a read.
