I cannot tell you how much I hate the way I played here. Can you please give me your analysis and tell me how you would have played it? There's nothing better than learning from public humiliation... so you can flame as much as you want.

Betting the turn and the river is just awful... Anyways, here it goes:

hate to say it but I would probably fold preflop, A-j isnt the easiest hand to play out of position in the first place, but as it is when you bet on the flop and got called by 2 players alarms have to go off in your head with that pair of q's on the board..A-Q?...Q-j?? Im thinking the CO player had something like that in this hand who knows maybe even JJ.

i try and avoid aj like the plague in early levels to avoid situations like this. you are getting 7:2 preflop against a hand that is very easily dominated, and or marginal at best. as it stands however, i check and call down to the river and let the size of his bets determine my action.

edit: when the hell did there become so many johnnys at this damn forum?

You need a coach...preferrably one who folds AJ in this situation pre-flop.

PS CO's play reeks of AQ or KQ or hell, possibly QJ here...
PPS Have your coach give you a primer on beting impetus after u've explored the pre-flop aspects of this hand...

Preflop: I prefer to fold her, since it is hard to tell after the flop if my hand is good or not.

Flop: I would check fold here. But a bet of 80 chips or so could be ok.

Turn: No way. Surly check fold. Two people called your flop bet. You are beaten here.

River: See turn.

I would have definately put someone on a queen on the flop, especially with that many players. You were drawing to a straight there, but since the board is risky, with the 2 diamonds, and queens, you want to see the river as cheap as possible. I would have checked and called on the turn, and checked, and considered folding on the river, depending on the bet of your opponent. Risky board though, I would have taken much more caution.

I'm making a bit of a joke...I know who his coach is, /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

As far as finding one....scope out some poster's posts and approach one who you think would advise you well to be your coach.

There's no set-up way to find a coach...

I disagree with the sentiment you should fold this PF. I think it's an easy call PF provided you know how to play it postflop. Unfortunately, if you're going to play it like that postflop, you probably should have folded. I check and see what the action behind me is like before making any more decisions on the flop.
