After winning some hands, they called me a bird. Then typing chirp, chirp. Does this mean anything? Or am I playing one of the short bus players?

Were you bragging or something similar after winning?

"Chirping chips" usually refers to the chips that a player has won which seem to make him more "chatty", but I have never come across the term "Bird".

I have no idea why you were called this. Possibly some inside joke from earlier in the session or they were all on drugs.

Its better than having them call you a fish and having them type "glub" "glub" in the chat box.

No clue. I've heard the term in reference to a girl or woman, but not in this context. I am dumbfounded. Coulda been worse though. Sorry, i'm no help.

Bird is equivalent to fish, ie bird brain. At my local B&M casino when someone chases a less than stellar draw they will
invariably get the comment, "Bird where are you going?" as the
the other guy is pulling in the pot.

Maybe they think you're a pale chick with crooked teeth.
