Tonight is the POSSIBLE return of the 400/800 game to L@TB, however if Jerry Buss goes to the Staples Center to entertain Phil Jackson as expected, who knows if they'll be as interested to be on the internet.

What are the odds that they will chicken out yet again or someone will object and show a $200 NL game? I say 2-1.

Kevmath
04-07-2005, 08:42 PM
I'll say it's 2-5 no 400/800 game.

Kevin...

Shanemex

Nice, 300/600. But WTF is badugi (sp?)

Kevmath
04-07-2005, 09:04 PM
Uh oh, it's 300-600 mixed games, and those that remember how it went the first time they did mixed games it wasn't worth the effort in non-holdem games.

Kevin...

what is a good hand in this badugi game? i know a234 of different suits is the best but that seems pretty far fetched. is an 8 low considered good?

Okay guys. Admit someone screwed up bigtime and move these guys off the TV table.

Kevmath
04-07-2005, 09:12 PM
This is the downfall of having the big limit game, you might as well stick in a 200 NL game if you're not able to see hole cards half the time.

On another note, for Bart/Shirley, is the automatic shuffler built into the table now?

Kevin...

Russ McGinley
04-07-2005, 09:12 PM
This is unwatchable.

housenuts
04-07-2005, 09:15 PM
i think basically if you have 4 different suits your hand is good.

They do have some taped progrmaming they could throw on here, the 1 table satellite for Dodger tickets they did last week, or a headsup match Shirley had with some other guy from 2 weeks back.

Now when they mention the Lederer "DVD", they should note that it's basically a seminar on limit holdem done at the Bellagio.

Kevin...

Kashie
04-07-2005, 09:17 PM
I agree, Might as well watch reruns of poker on fox or something.

That hole in the table
is a shuffler.

Badugi is ba-boring.

Jive Dadson

With the automatic shuffler, the runover talk from the previous hand will last until the river.

Kashie

"badugi"

The nuts in this game is as follows:
As 2d 3h 4c

And any hand that contains one of any suit beats any hand that has two of a suit and so on. The first determining factor is the suits of the cards, and the second is the value of the cards themselves.

Hey, Bart, if weren't aware of the the K-high straight Omaha tidbit, ponder this...a set of jacks can never be the absolute nuts in Hold 'Em, because if the board is J-high, there has to be a possible straight. Therefore, the lowest possible nuts in Hold 'Em is a set of Queens.

I also think this kind of stuff is interesting.

Both of your boards allow for higher hands than straights. He's saying that the worst nuts is a K-hi straight when no low is possible.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, I guess then a "scooping" hand in Omaha 8 means the nuts. I thought it just meant you won the whole pot and didn't split.

Scooping means you win the whole pot. Either because you had both hi and low, or you just had hi but there was no low possible.

Typically you will have what's known as the wheel. Its got earthy tones, smooth draw, and enough kick to win me the high and the low.

It's usually the case the bigger the game, the worse the tips.

There aren't any low-denom chips floating around because the pots aren't raked, so they probably tip something when they leave. But I'm just guessing.

Haha, 3-handed. If this isn't the last time we have the big game, it should certainly be the last time we have the mixed game.

Bart, I need your opinion on internet poker multitabling. I usually 2-table with 2 different games. I like to pay at least some attention to the table play. How can some people 4-5-6 table some of those games. I don't it. Thanks.
