I've played more than 130 sng's on 11$ buyin partypoker and these are my results:

Bankroll: 400$
ROI: 36%
ITM: 44%
Profit: 418$
$/hour: 7,64
ITM from bubble: 77%

1. 19
2. 11
3. 14
4. 12
5. 14
6. 5
7. 5
8. 6
9. 5
10. 7

And then I tried to move up to 22$ buyins and i've played almost 10 games and i've finished first two times and then 4th place almost every time...what should i do?
I dont want to lose my entire bankroll u know.

And do you think it's good to play only sng's cuz i think its the only game i really know how to play in. Can i make money just playing sng's or should i switch between cashgames too?

I want answers from experienced players please /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The answer is in your question. If you don't want to lose your entire bankroll go back down to 11$ and build it. I would suggest a simple approach.

11$ Build the bankroll to 600$. Then move up to 22$
22$ If the bankroll drops below 500$, move down to 11$ and repeat that step. If not, keep playing. (depending on how comfortable you are in your game/risk averse etc, change the 500 and 600 into other numbers).

That was exactly my BR formula for moving up to the $22s. I lost my first few and then broke even more or less for a while and I played what would have been my last $22 4 times.

If I had it to do over again I would have a little bigger cushion, because I would like to have a lower chance of having to drop back down.

Plenty of posts on bankroll...use the search function.

Here's one:

Don't move up until this is impossible.

There is nothing worse than having to raise all in with 39o when you're seriously worried about losing the hand.

The other advice in this thread is good, but if you don't feel comfortable with even those numbers, wait until you DO feel comfortable.

we don't always get what we want do we?

so we're 10 tourneys in and wondering if we're a winning player? i'll give you a hint.

please. 10 tourneys is nothing. Sometimes, I'm ITM in 8 of them. Other times, I don't money in any.

Since you have no idea if you're a winning player. Wait until you have 30 buyins ($600) before moving up. Then you should have no trouble.

Don't ask for advice from experinced players only. It makes you sound like a complete tool.

No one mentioned the statistical significant that you are lacking, 125 tournaments won't tell you enough about your game. You need to play more, and perhaps hit a bad streak to see where your leaks may be.

Play 500 $11s, multitable them if you are ready for them. Post the resutls and if you feel comfortable, then move to the 22s, but I highly reccomend waiting til the magic feeling.

i don't understadn the question "can i make money playing these games?" clearly you can.

as for moving up: you appear to be winning money thus far at the 20s, so why the fear?

Yeah I would wait until you get a little more money in the 11s before doing the 22s to be safe.

I knid of like my system, I just started to play poker last year so I started with a $200 deposit and using $11 SnGs and bonuses from Party and other sites I have now built that money into a few thousand and have played 500 $11 SnGs in that time. So now I will be moving to the 22s and have a couple hundred buy ins for the 22 level with no worry about bankroll anymore. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

And as a bonus, made many of my mistakes at the $11 level which is less costly than the $22 level.
