Normally, I would have raised at some point in this hand, but because I had just sat down, had no reads on the sb and thought he might have been testing me, I played it passively. Was this real bad?

No, its ok. When 3rd flushcard hit turn I would raise, making him fold a low clubcard. But if not 3rd flush I like this line. Only 1 overcard to your pair so let him bet his lower hand. I do this often against aggressive guys.

Raise river, good chance he is betting Q or 8.
