Anyone get married in Vegas or been to a Vegas wedding?

Not that I'm considering it or anything, just curious if those "Little White Chapels" are totally cheese or what. I assume so, but...

Yup, cheese.

I got married at the one with the drive-up window. We were military, and they waved the fee for military. We couldn't afford anything but a small, private ceremony. We didn't even have a car--we had to go inside!

They replaced, "Would you like fries with that?", with, "Would you like to buy the lady some flowers?" They got me for $15 for $2 worth of flowers.

Like I said, the fee was waived for us. They gave us an envelope to tip the "reverend", and suggested that we leave HER $50-100. $20 was the best I could do.

They also provided the video camera, which acted as our "witness".

I'd still prefer that over having to feed 200 relatives that I don't know.

I've been to one Vegas wedding and watched two others on video. The ones I saw were normal weddings just like anywhere else.
