Do you have to be 21 to play in a WPT event?

I'd like to try a satellite one day, but I'm only 18. Just wondering what the minimum age is?!?

WPT events overseas are 18. Not sure with France.

Pretty sure it's 18+ in France as well (and all EPT events).

I thought they let people over 18 play in the pstars bahama event. maybe that is only one because i thought in prior years at the online events you had to be 21 to play. but if event is in usa casino you must be over 18.

Now, I have never even been to the US but I would imagine that you'd have to be 21. Was this a typo? All other casino games are 21+ only, why would a WPT event be any different? I mean, [censored], you need to be 21 to even DRINK in the US.

When I was in England, you had to be 14 to drink in a pub. 80 years ago, no one could legally drink in the US.

The short answer is, the WPT itself does not currently have a 21+ rule. Age limit is determined by the jurisdiction where the event takes place.

The limit for gambling is 21 is most casinos and 18 in some. I think it is determined by the laws of the state or Indian nation on which the casino is located.
