yup that's why my home page is the perenially entertaining Slate. they almost always have something for any mood.

i had it on cnn for a while but the news coverage there is underwhelming. i thought bbc was better for a newsy start page.
I can't believe no one besides me uses google. Loads just about as fast as about:blank and is infinitely more useful.

I use it too. In terms of keeping up with world events, Google will have some cool new logo for anything important.
I think a picture of gayrod booting that grounder yesterday would make an excellent avatar.

No...I think Google or Yahoo is. Ctrl + T + tw + click on www.twoplustwo.com (http://www.twoplustwo.com) is quickly donte (the other page is for fantasysports.yahoo.com)

I used tabbed browsing through Firefox though, so I normally start my day with 5 open tabs.

I made a basic web page with a bunch of links to my favorite sites and some forms to automatically do google searches, imdb searches, and log me in to my college mail.
Way easier than clicking Favorites and finding what you want (or typing in the web pages).
