Still math-challenged after all these years.

It would be neat hat trick. Psychology and confidence and momentum etc. play such an important part to many sports, baseball not the least. Far more important than any numbers. How important was Santiago's hit in game four to drive in a run? It may be the most the important hit of the series. Angels in 7. (The pitching better get more solid or the Angels are in trouble).

Confidence and momentum are only as good as your next day's starting pitching. Who would have had more confidence and momentum than the Yankees last year after winning games 4 and 5 with dramatic 2-out 2-run home runs to tie each game, then prevailing in extra innings? But then they got Johnson and Schilling and couldn't score enough to win. (This is of course an oversimplification, they had game 7 won until they gave it away in the field in the 9th inning.)

Also, there's a day off and the Angels will be home.

But there aren't many pitchers I'd prefer less than Appier in a big game. I think he'll get racked. (He'll probably pitch a perfect game now that I've said this.)

Giants in six, like I've been saying all along.
