I used to hate eating with members of a certain audit team. If you have kids there is always saying you scheduled to call them at dinner time and you are just going to grab fast food before.

I also would find some one time TV event and say I was have been looking forward to it all day.

Also could you use the old you have to review some work papers from another job and send them back that night?

I went with "I have to do some extra work on another job, so I think it would be best if I just pick up something quick and eat while I work at the hotel".

She bought it.

So I ordered some wings and a six-pack and stayed in the hotel and played on Stars all night. Much better than dinner with the coworker.
