well, in 6-max there is a button, co, hijack or utg+1, and then either B-4 or utg. and the big blind and small blind.

soem people just refer to position as x off the button, homer had a great thread about this in ss a year or two ago, as utg means something different in a 5 handed game as opposed to 10 handed, for example.

I agree. In fact I think it would be nice if everyone said "I open raised in BTN-7" instead of "I open raised UTG" (which means absolutely nothing without knowing how many handed the game is.
