Basically this guy is on trial for hate crimes. The conflict began when he said jews started the holocaust and that Hilter was correct in slaying 6 million Jews.
The whole thing is actually quite interesting. They read some court transcripts on tv and the Judge was arguing with Ahenakew's supporters in the trial. This arose when Ahenakew said that he believed everyone other than natives are immigrants. The judge responsed, "I've studied anthropology and the natives also traveled the asian passage to Canada, thereby, making them immigrants." Ahenakew supporters started calling the judge a racist and other disputes arose.
