I just had a pretty bad downsing in the 10+1 tournaments and I am just looking for some information to see if this could be a downswing or if I really need to start looking at my game more. Over my first 500 SnG's these were my stats...

ROI 18.4
ITM 37.8
1st 13.2% 66
2nd 15.0% 75
3rd 9.6% 48
4th 16.4% 82
5th 13.6% 68
6th 12.2% 61
7th 10.0% 50
8th 4.8% 24
9th 2.0% 10
10th 3.2% 16

And over this next batch of SnG's (128)....

ROI -14.1%
ITM 26.6%
1st 11.7% 15
2nd 6.3% 8
3rd 8.6% 11
4th 18.8% 24
5th 20.3% 26
6th 17.2% 22
7th 8.6% 11
8th 3.9% 5
9th 3.1% 4
10th 1.6% 2

When I play I feel like I have an edge. I am confident about my play and Raptor517 (my roomate) has been watching my play I can easily accept that fact that an ROI of %18 may just not be capable for me. But I refuse to believe that I am a losing player and I just want to know if anyone else has had a downswing like this in the 10s. Down 20 buyins after this many SnG's... Did my brain turn into mush?

Edit: FWIW I 4-table..

I'm a big opponent of more than 2 tabling. I believe that your game does not improve nearly as quickly as if you 1 or 2 table. Playing 4-12 tables requires playing off instincts and quick reads. I have found that better much reads can be made with 1 or 2 tables and that my game improves more quickly.

Yes, your hourly rate will be lower in the short term, but your increase in skill will allow you to go up in limits. When you have reached your plateu, whether that be the 30's, 50's, 100's, or 200's, you should then think about 4+ tabling.

There are geniuses out there that can multitable easily. I am not one of them. Maybe you are. As for your results, you are having problems with your bubble play. your 1-4th finishes should be even at worst. You have a significantly larger amount of 4ths. I can't tell you what your problem is because you have provided #'s alone.

You may be being too aggressive on the bubble, or too passive. Playing either way will cause you to bust on the buble too much. There is a fine line between these two that you must walk to be successful at Sng's. It is very difficult to do, but gets easier with practice.

Appears to be just a downswing and I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd chalk it up to variance considering you have a solid 500 SnGs proving you're a winning player. If you're really concerned perhaps you can drop down to 2-3 tables for a while until you get some confidence back.
