View Full Version : How good is your hand to call all-in reraise on a semi-steal?

Playing at a MTT in Paris's Aviation Club, we are at level 4 - blinds are t5-10 and chipstacks are all at about t150. Folded around to Hero on the button with A-8 unsuited, who raises in a semi-steal to t35. SB folds, BB reraises all-in - slightly less than Hero's stack but enough to cripple him.

BB is a very solid player, has previously folded to similar raises; his typical raise is a large but not total amount, and this is his first reraise of the tourney. However, a few hands previous he saw me show down a steal of J8s which ended up hitting. If he had a big pair or other premium hand, I'm fairly sure he would just call or reraise a smaller amount - the all-in suggests weakness. Would you call with this hand?

Apologies if I have left out some crucial information or my formatting is not appropriate - my first board query.
