I would like to know from you guys which are the worlds absolute best poker rooms. I'm talking as far as atmosphere, players, games, comps, staff, etc. If someone can give me a top ten/five/three that would be great.

These are from my own personal experience in the poker rooms I've personally played in:

Players, I'd have to say the Taj Mahal, Ocean's 11 had the softest games I've ever played in.

Games, Viejas had a very wide selection of games (almost too wide. . .do you really need to spread 2/4, 3/6, AND 4/8??)

Comps, I don't think it gets better than Tunica. They just give away rooms, food, etc. So generous, you leave town spoiled.

Atmosphere, the greatest poker atmosphere I've ever experienced by FAR was the Diamond Club in New York City. It is no longer in existence.

Casino Arizona,In my opinion is the best run card room, the best dealers. It has a fair rake, very good food although they have no comps the food is reasonably priced. It has 50some tables and spread all limets.Tunica also is great the comp policy is 2nd.to none hotel rates are great,You cant beat thier Southern Hospitality thier food is also very good.I rank Casino AZ.above Tunica two reasons are the weather&things to do once away from the casinos. Both places allow smoking which I hate, but mayby that will change.

i agree it has good time charge (6$), but i dont see how you say it has a fair rake when its 5$ a hand. (3 rake + 1 jackpot +1 additional jackpot at i think 30$)

i mean its a great poker room but the rake is pretty steep for a low limit player especially since the food is not comped or anything.

I believe the rake at the old bldg.[for red chip games]was $2plus $1for the bad beats. Now it is up to $3&they found a way to take $5 out.I mostly play in the Midwest where they take out $5with no bad beat.At least they return $2 to the players at C.A. So if you happen to get lucky its returned to you many times over. Also at the old bldg. the great food was sold to the poker players at 1/2 price, because of this and the fact they take an extra buck out of the pots we have down graded C.A. but I still think its the best.

i think the food is still half price. had a lunch special rueben sandwich or something with 2 cranapple juices or whatever and it was only like 4 bucks.

but a lot of time if you get the dinner special (maybe i had wine or something) it can be like 12 bucks.

but 6 per half hour for say, a 40/80 game has got to be the best deal anywhere.

its nice. interesting to see what effect this blackjack proposition 20? stuff will have. heard poker room may move back to the tent down the road.
