I'm a n00b to the SnG scene. I'm a 5/10 SH player, but I want to learn tourneys. So, yeah.

Both these hands are from level 1&2, so no good reads on opponents. In both hands, I felt like I had the board crippled and wanted to try to get something out of em.

In hand one, I wanted to induce a bluff so I could raise:

In hand two, I felt like raising the turn would make him fold right there, so I wanted to get him to give me at least a few more chips on the river.

Is this horrible slowplaying, or am I on the right track here?

Slowplaying in an SNG is very, very bad. Generally, you shouldn't be doing it.

In the first hand, I'd bet the turn 100% of the time. A 7 or a 4 are not good things, and you really want to be able to get your entire stack in the middle. I also bet the flop a lot, hoping to get raised.

On the second hand, it's a pretty scary board, even with your nice flush, so I bet flop. As for turn, it's an ok check.

Generally it is a bad idea. I can see checking the first hand since the flop is so harmless. But when the turn could be a card that hurts you, you need to bet. What would you have done if the river was an 8 or a diamond?

In my experience it's better to bet on the flop. If they are going to fold on the flop, they will most likely fold on the turn anyway. Sometimes there just isn't any extra chips to be made from a hand. If you are able to build the pot from the flop, even if its just by a minbet, the higher your chances of him calling later on.

And another thing with slowplaying. It is more common than you think that both are slowplaying. This means that often a hand where you really want to get all your chips in never give you an opportunity. You bet 200 on the river hoping to get something out of your great hand and the other slowplayer get so surprised by the relatively large riverbet that he just calls with his two pair. I see that all the time.

If he's on a draw and misses you won't get anything out of him, unless he makes a big bluff.
