I felt like this was one of those "discretion is the better part of valor" hands. I put my opponent on either a mid to big pair or an Ace to call my pre-flop raise. However, I might be giving him too much credit here. If my read is correct, I'm only 20% to win here once the A comes on the turn.

Maybe I've got him too tight for the 22s, and this did cripple me, but I felt like I had time to recover.

I felt like the flop was the turning point here. Was my flop bet too strong? Would 100 have done the job? I wanted to bet and be done with the hand if called. Would anyone push?

I think you put yourself in a really bad spot here by overbetting the flop. There aren't any draws that can call even a half sized pot bet here, so betting big here means that you are unnecessarily increasing your reverse implied odds. You are giving yourself a bad price on your bet.

Still, your turn and river play here is very good. Once you get called, you have to put the brakes on b/c its pretty clear you are beaten more than 2/3rds of the time.
